With the sudden ascension of computer modding as the 'in' thing to do, computer cases becoming showpieces for geeks and enthusiasts alike are becoming more commonplace. You can find many online stores offering services for modding your computer, with the available options ranging from cutting bits and pieces out of your case for better ventilation or aesthetic purposes; to custom paintjobs or even airbrushing for that quality finish.

If you don't really want to hack up your computer case, but instead buy something which is already minimally modded and looks swank, you have a few options open to you. Among other brands you will find highly recommended by geeks everywhere, names like CoolerMaster and Lian Li stand out, as they produce cases which not only are designed very well, but are also very pleasing to the eye.

As far as case designs go, most manufacturers tend to stick to the plain old box-type design, which leaves the case looking like...well ... a box; nothing but right angles and long straight edges. Enermax takes case design one step further with their CS-5190AL-061 case which features a funky slanted front bezel and an automotive-grade paintjob.
